Mike Brown was born and raised in Charleston. He has been leading ghost tours here for thirty years and every tour is led by Mike himself.
His work goes well beyond the tour route. He has spent the night alone in a haunted jail. He spent three years tracking the ghost of Edgar Allan Poe through Charleston's archives, and in the process uncovered a local story that had been deliberately buried to protect a dark secret. He has explored a haunted mountaintop forest alone at night. He knows this city's hidden history the way most people know their own neighborhood.
Mike is the host of the Pleasing Terrors podcast, downloaded nearly two million times by listeners in over a hundred countries. He has led storytelling workshops for five Charleston tour companies, and has been featured on South Carolina ETV, HGTV, the BBC, Voice of America Radio, and Destination America's Ghost Asylum.
